5.3mmol/l night time glucose levels.?

Hiya, i have slight suspicians about being diabetic so got a home glucose monitor a while ago to test my levels as i did not want to to to my doctor if it turned out to be nothing. I have had an increased thirst and very often im getting classis ‘low sugar’ like feelings.. atleast on a weekly basis, this has happened every night now too, and i am having to keep food and glucose tablets in my room to help me feel better. tonight i was feeling like the classic low blood sugars e.g: faint, headache, craving for sweets, dizzy, suden need for food, and an increase in my depressive mood. When i took my sugar levels it read at 5.3mmol/l and i have had a normal dinner like i would normally would but also had chocolate around 10 olock, is this normal? i have had some dextro tablets and feeling better now.. do you think it could be a sign of diabetes? i get problems with blurred vision ect and wonder if its all linked?
