Can eating the night before affect glucose level for fasting readings?

Hi, I went to the doctor for my yearly physical ( age 31, 6.0′, weight 195). I consider myself an in shape person (exercise all the time and eat healthy) so I took all the blood tests and all were normal except my glucose, which was 124 (fasting). I did drink alot of alcohol (mostly wine) 36 hours before and had an orange Jumba Juice smoothie the night before the test. I am scared because my doctor said I might have diabities and wants to retest. Any advice?

if you are going for a test in the morning aroud 8 then you must stop eating at 21hrs at night thats how it should be
