Fasting Glucose Levels Normal Range
Why did I pass out/faint in class today?
Today I was in Anatomy & Phsyiology. Ther was 5 minutes left in the class when I felt a sudden hit of nausea. I felt like I was going throw up, and my head started get a little light. I put my head on the desk, and the next thing I remember is that my lab partner is pulling me off her lap.
I ate breakfast this morning, a big bowl full of fiber one cereal with milk at 9:00 and I passed out at 2:45. Not that much of a stretch to not eat.
They checked my blood glucose levels, and it was 71, and they said normal range was 80 and above. So it wasn’t terribly low. I have hypothyroid issues, but I don’t see how that would cause anything.
Also, I thought passing out happened when you were standing too long with your knees locked or standing up too fast.
Also: why did I feel sick to my stomach??! That’s what gets me.
note: took a pregnancy test; negative.
Any ideas?? I have a dr. appt tomorrow.
Good for you going to the doctor……could easily be related to your cycle. But doc will help you figure this out and adjust your hypothyroid meds if needed.
