Glucose in the blood is too high?

I had a blood test (after fasting for 12 hours) and received a reading of 123 Glucose. I know that is higher than the normal range. I get my blood tested 3 times a year ( for other reasons) and have never had a glucose higher than 99. I know what high glucose means. I want to get my glucose below 99 once again. How do you recommend I get my glucose reading down? I am an older person ( over 40 years old).

I know what you mean is to avoid meat from animals that have fur (as in eat more baked chicken) I still like my extra leen beef, though.
