what is connection between Gin and having low blood glucose levels?

Gin is supposed to increase insulin levels in the body and thus help in diabetes……Can anyone help me with the mechanism behind this??

Gin or any other (spirits) do not increase insulin levels.

What alcohol does is prevent the liver from releasing stored glucose in the event your blood sugars are starting to drop. The liver at this point virtually shuts down while processing the toxins in the alcohol.

Of course, this is assuming that the Gin is not taken with any other mixer(s) that contains carbohydrates.
