One Touch Ultra Mini blood glucose monitoring system?

For some reason I am just not able to operate this machine properly, it’s rather too difficult. Firstly, how do I put in the code number? I know my code, however, I do not know how to embed it into the machine. It’s just getting confusing, Would someone please explain it to me step by step. The guide book is not helping, and this is for my mother so…please!! someone help! she needs to use it asap, and I feel bad because I’m off to no help.

It seems complicated if you’ve never seen it before. To put in the code number you stick a strip in, then when the code number comes up you change the code up or down with the arrow buttons. It will stay at that code until you change it again.

After you change the code, you can take the strip back out and put it back into the vial. Make sure your hands are clean every time you stick your finger in that vial, or you can contaminate all the strips and get bad readings.

But the best thing to do with the first strip of the vial is to check the control range. After you change the code leave the strip in. After a minute the screen will change and it will show a little droplet on a strip, telling you it’s okay to test. You then get our your control solution, shake the bottle, take the cap off, wipe the top of the nozzle off with a clean piece of TP then squeeze out one drop onto that same clean piece. Then put a drop of control solution on that strip. When it gives you the result, compare it to the control range on the vial. Then you’ll be ready to go
