Pregnancy Glucose Tolerance Test
When Taking a Glucose screening or glucose tolerance test during Pregnancy…Does One have to Fast or not eat?
or do anything specific?
Most of those are done on fasting and the hours depends on the doctor. Some want you to be fasting for 8 hours and some want you to be fasting for 10 to 12 hours.
I wouldn’t have been able to do their little GTT when I was pregnant. I would have gotten to the lab, drank their syrup and tossed it all over the place!! I couldn’t even drink a cup of tea without paying homage to the great Porcelain God!!!
