Am I right ??

1. An enzyme resposible for the conversion of glucose phosphate to fructose phosphate in the Kreb cycle is classified as: Hydrolases
a. ligase b. isomerase c. transferase d. hydrolase

2.to which class of carbonyl containig compounds does glucise belong? disaccharide
a. anol b. ketone c. aldehyde d. monosaccharide e. disaccharide

3. what is the term used for a pair of + and – isomers? tautomers
a. cis b. trans c. chiral d. enantiomers e. tautomers

1= b.

2=d

3=d.

Tautomers are organic compounds that are interconvertible by a chemical reaction called tautomerization. As most commonly encountered, this reaction results in the formal migration of a hydrogen atom or proton, accompanied by a switch of a single bond and adjacent double bond.
In chemistry, enantiomers , are stereoisomers that are nonsuperposable complete mirror images of each other, much as one’s left and right hands are “the same” but opposite.

Enantiomers have, when present in a symmetric environment, identical chemical and physical properties except for their ability to rotate plane-polarized light by equal amounts but in opposite directions. A mixture of equal parts of an optically active isomer and its enantiomer is termed racemic and has a net rotation of plane-polarized light of zero.

Two symmetrical enantiomers often do have different chemical properties related to other substances that are also enantiomers. Since many molecules in the bodies of living beings are enantiomers themselves, there is often a marked difference in the effects of two symmetrical enantiomers on living beings, including humans.
